Our Story

How it all started...

In 1980 Bishop Roberto Júnkar, his family and a small group of people met in a small two-bedroom home in the corner of West Little York and Hardy in the city of Houston, Texas with the desire to reach the lost. This was the beginning of Ideal Church.

A year later with the help of our great God the first property was purchased on 8517 Yale Street. At this location in the year 1986 Oscar Júnkar Bautista was elected as pastor.  As the Lord blessed us with a prosperous children’s ministry, new souls were added into the church and we saw the need to acquire a bigger place of worship.
God once again opened doors for us and in 1992 the purchase was made of the famous Granada Theater on 9231 Jensen Drive.
On September 2001 Pastor Oscar Júnkar Bautista moved to Seattle, Washington to plant a church. Pastor Oscar David Júnkar continued pastoring the church in Houston and in the year 2003  the church relocated to Spring, Texas at 3131 FM 2920 where we continued to reach for the lost with the great gospel of salvation.

Once more the church  was able to see God’s mighty power when on July 26, 2016 in a miraculous way Wildwood Baptist Church, lead by the Lord announced to our church board that they decided to give us a 2.4-million-dollar property.

On August 7, 2016 a vehicle procession headed by Pastor Oscar Júnkar Bautista, drove from 3131 FM 2920 to 5110 Louetta Road, the new home of Ideal Church.

Through the years, Ideal Church has supported World Missions, Home Missions and has planted churches in the United States and Mexico and continues to make an effort to go out and preach the Gospel to every creature.
